Holy Spirit conviction is not all just internal. If you’re not possessed by the Holy Spirit, you’re not going to be internally convicted by it. It has to come by external experience and voices at first. We who are possessed by the Holy Spirit are called to rebuke and correct. And in this day and hour, “fluff” and “sugar coating” have little or no effect. I did not come to Christ because an inner voice told me I should. My inner voice was guiding me in the opposite direction. Leaving me semi-comfortable in the world. In pursuit of pleasure and praise from as many as possible. Including every drug and drink I could get my hands on that temporarily masked the fact I was simultaneously, internally miserable and confused. I was made to attend Sunday school every Sunday through most of my childhood and was baptized but continued living like the devil. Mainly because what I was getting from the church made no freaking sense. I did not understand the Bible. Ultimately seeds were planted by it and one external voice in my life, my great-grandmother.
I came to Christ because God allowed the devil, internally and externally, to push me so far down to the ground that my only option was to reach for God with a passion. A full complete surrender of my life. It was either him or die.
That is when the Lord God of heaven grabbed ahold of me, shook the living hell out of me… literally, and then began showing me THE TRUTH! {{{Internally!!!}}} That is when he manifested his Spirit within me and virtually turned my upside-down life right-side up! And hell yes, it was traumatic and dramatic at first. I was scared to death because I knew what was happening. I knew it was God taking charge. But it wasn’t long for the trust to develop and the commission. END OF STORY! Here I am!
Telling you God is real. Telling you God is speaking to you right now. Telling the world the devil has blinded the masses with lies and deception and is only getting more persistent! God is pleading with you to just listen, be corrected, be convicted, and let him change your heart and mind! But you have to believe what he says is true and surrender with a PASSION! Just like I did. You have to admit you are doomed without actually acknowledging his living presence, power, and voice dwelling within you. Leading you into HIS eternal kingdom. And that it is for a reason! The reason being, the virtual separation of the forces of good and evil FOREVER!!!!

6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.
